Cohese Cohese

Terms of Service

Effective September 13, 2026. If we make a material change, we'll update this date — this page won't grow a separate changelog.

Cohese is a product of Brwnd Labs LLC ("we," "us," "our").

1. Agreement to Terms

Using Cohese means agreeing to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.

2. What Cohese is

Cohese is a private-group coordination product — Announcements, Events and Registration, Requests, Needs, and Commitments (be informed, be there, be involved) — for groups such as churches, sports teams, clubs, scouting, schools, and nonprofits. Cohese is a coordination tool between people who already know and trust each other inside a private Group. It does not operate a public marketplace, does not provide chat or messaging, and does not process payments.

3. Eligibility and accounts

An interactive Cohese account requires being 13 or older and signing in with Apple or Google. Cohese does not manage or store passwords. A person under 13 may be represented inside Cohese only as a dependent profile created and managed by a parent or guardian who holds their own interactive account — under-13 individuals do not have their own Cohese account.

4. Guardian and dependent relationships

A person who adds or manages a dependent's profile is responsible for the accuracy of that information and for actions taken through Cohese on the dependent's behalf — registering the dependent for an Event, submitting a Ride Request for them, and similar actions. Guardian relationships can be reviewed and revoked inside the product; revoking a relationship ends that guardian's access to the dependent's information going forward.

5. Groups and Organizations

Groups are private spaces joined through Membership and invitation, not public discovery. A Group's administrators and leaders are responsible for their own Group's membership and targeting decisions. Cohese provides the platform and does not mediate a Group's internal disputes.

6. Acceptable use

7. Ride Request coordination is not a transportation service

Cohese helps a Group's own members coordinate rides among themselves. Cohese does not provide transportation, does not employ or dispatch drivers, and does not independently verify driving records, insurance, or background beyond a Group's own "Approved Driver" designation — a capability a Group's own administrators or leaders assign inside the product and is not verified or guaranteed by Cohese. Participating in Ride coordination, as a driver, rider, or guardian arranging a ride for a dependent, is voluntary and at each participant's own risk. Cohese is not responsible for the conduct of any driver or rider, or for the outcome of any ride arranged through the product.

8. Your content

You keep ownership of what you post — Announcements, Need and Ride descriptions, and similar content. Posting content through Cohese gives Cohese the license needed to store, display, and deliver it to the Group members and other people your Group's own settings authorize to see it, solely to operate the product. Cohese does not license your content for any other use. You are responsible for content you post and for having the right to post it.

9. Cohese's intellectual property

Cohese, the Cohese name and logo, and the app's design and features are protected by intellectual property laws and belong to Cohese. Using the app does not give you any ownership of Cohese's trademarks, branding, or underlying software. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, or distribute any part of the Service except as these Terms expressly allow.

10. Organizations and billing

Cohese may offer both free and paid tiers for Organizations; individual participation in a Group does not require a personal subscription. Billing terms for any paid Organization tier are presented at the point of purchase and are incorporated into these Terms by reference once accepted.

11. Suspension and termination

By you. You may stop using Cohese at any time, and you may request deletion of your account at any time — see the Privacy Policy's "Your rights and choices" section.

By us. Cohese may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent or illegal activity through the Service, or endanger other users. Where practical, we'll tell you why.

12. Disclaimers

Cohese is provided "as is" and "as available." Cohese does not guarantee the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times, and may modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice.

13. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cohese is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service. Cohese's total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid Cohese (if any) in the twelve months before the claim arose.

14. Indemnification

You agree to defend and indemnify Cohese against claims arising from your misuse of the service, content you post, or your violation of these Terms.

15. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles, and any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of Cohese will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Texas, whose venue you consent to.

Pending qualified legal review before public launch: the specific county/venue and the exact dispute-resolution procedure — for example, whether disputes are resolved through informal resolution, arbitration, or ordinary litigation — will be finalized here with qualified legal counsel.

16. Children's use

Cohese's interactive accounts are for people 13 and older. A person under 13 is represented only as a dependent profile managed by a parent or guardian — see the Privacy Policy's "Children's privacy" section for how that information is handled.

17. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect, and the unenforceable provision will be interpreted to reflect its original intent as closely as possible under applicable law.

18. Changes to these Terms

Cohese may update these Terms. The "Effective" date at the top of this page will change when it does, and continuing to use Cohese after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

19. Contact

Questions about these Terms can be sent to legal@cohese.app.
